Restoring your pride and joy? Need some steering or suspension parts? Pull out your iPhone and lookup the part numbers based on the Year, Make and Model of that pride and joy and know immediately the price and availability.
Email yourself a reminder of the part numbers needed so that you can order the parts at a more convenient time by calling Rare Parts or visiting the Rare Parts website.
Initially this App will be for iOS only (Apple iPhone/iPod/iPad). An Android version will follow soon.
To try a search using the Sample '57 T-Bird simply touch the '57 T-Bird area and you will see Year, Make and Model filled in.
Select the Application from the Pick Wheel and touch Done.

To make it easier to select the year, touch the input field and the numeric keyboard will be displayed.
Enter 2 or 4 digits. If you enter 2 digits between 00 and 24 it will be 2001-2024. 25-99 will be interpreted as 1925-1999.
When Done, touch the red Done button.

After setting the Application touch the Get Parts area to retrieve matching parts.
To change Application without changing vehicle touch the Application name area ( Suspension ) and the Pick Wheel will re-display.

To get help on the device touch the question mark button in the lower left corner of the screen.
To make use of the Reminder feature you should set the email address first. If no email is added you must add it later in the email app itself.
You can also setup an Email cc address.
To get to the setup screen touch the Gears icon in the power right corner and then touch Setup on the Information screen.
To visit associated websites touch the Go To Rare Parts Website button.
In the Configuration screen touch the right arrow area of the entry to be changed and a new screen will appear.
Standard navigation is by touching buttons in the Title bar(s), arrow areas on selection screen and simply touching part number areas in parts lists,
Server settings are not normally accessible, indicated by the lack of of the right arrow.
Manager Mode is limited for use by Rare Parts Staff.

If you already have a Rare Parts account you can select to Login by touching the Login button on the Main Titlebar.
Enter the credential provided you by Rare Parts and your results will be personalized to your account.
Account Login is optional.
If the Save Username/Password is ON your login information will be saved and does not have to be re-entered.

When you touch the Get Parts area of the first screen you will connect in real-time to Rare Parts and retrieve matching parts and associated up-to-date information such as price and stock availability.
The right arrow/chevron indicates that additional information is available for the part.
Touch the description or arrow/chevron area of part and the details page will display, along with an image of the part, if an image is available.

The details screen will show the additional parts information along with the RemindMe button. 
If you press RemindMe button the part number will added to the queue to be used later for the Reminder Email. Once the part number has been added to the reminder list the ReminderButton will no longer show for that part number.
To initiate sending the Reminder Email touch the Email button on the Parts List screen or the envelope in lover left corner of the main screen.

After touching the Email button all part numbers in the queue will be listed. To continue with the send email process touch the Send button.
You can also choose to clear the list by touching the Clear List button.

To process the reminder queue touch the envelope icon.
A confirmation pop-up will appear and give you the chance to cancel the process.
After confirming to continue the send reminder email process an email message will be started for you and the Rare Parts App will be closed.
